Flash Your Tips *Griswold Family Christmas!* Review and Swatches

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!! Today I bring to you another fairly new Indie name that has a new Holiday line of polishes out that are named for the movie National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! If you haven’t seen the movie, you should! My Christmas isn't complete until I have seen it, and I actually watched it while I was swatching these 3 that I have to show you today.

Little Full, Lot of Sap: Red and green Matte glitter in a clear base.

All photos show 2 coats of Little Full, Lot of Sap over 2 coats of Spoiled Daddy’s Credit Card topped with a coat of SH Mega Shine.

Application was easy, no complaints at all. The glitters didn't need to fished out or placed, making it easy to work with.  Also, there was no problem with texture since all of the glitter laid flat, no special top coat needed.

Cousin Eddie’s Shoes:  Various sized white, silver and iridescent glitters in bar, hex and square shapes!

All photos show 2 coats of Cousin Eddie’s Shoes over 3 coats of Nabi Milky Sky topped with 1 coat of NPB Glitter Food

I paired this with the light blue color because once I saw the words Cousin Eddie’s Shoes I was reminded of his powder blue leisure suit! This was again easy to work with an by far my favorite of the 3. There is so much going on  in this little bottle but it’s still not too much! No fishing and I noticed like with them all there was barely any settling at all. It does leave the nail a tad textured so I used the Glitter Food to smooth it out, which made it matte. Normally I would top it off with a shiny top coat like MS but I really liked the matte version of this!

Sparky: Red and white glitter in various sizes both hex and square.

All photos of Sparky show 2 coats over Color Club Ho Ho Holly topped with MS.

The formula on this one was a tad thicker than the other 2 but it didn't cause any issues with application. The squares were a bit harder to get from the bottle than the hexes but nothing too troublesome. The glitters all laid flat here as well and only required a normal top coat.

You can find Flash Your Tips on Etsy here. Their polishes are offered in full size for $7 and mini for $3. You can also find FYT on Facebook here.

What do you think about these glitter goodies?
