Influenster VoxBox: Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue

Hi everyone, I know it's been a couple of days since I've posted but the holiday rush has finally caught up with me. I feel like I have so much to do and not enough time for even half. Once the craziness subsides I will be back to regular posting I promise! For right now I have a non polish related post for you. I recently received my first 2 Influenster VoxBoxes, one was my delicious box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates which I posted about here. The other one I received was the Head & Shoulders VoxBox.

I'm going to be perfectly honest, I wasn't expecting much from this. As soon as I saw that my VoxBox was for Head & Shoulders I was a bit disappointed. I remember the icky smelling blue goo that my parents used when I was a kid, so I was less than thrilled. Also, given that I myself don't have dandruff I was thinking I couldn't possibly like this product.

My Hair
I will give you a bit of background on my hair/shampoo issues. I have medium to thick hair. It is color treated, in the sense that I have stripped it, and pumped it full of just about ever color of the rainbow. I tend to get split ends as a result of all the damaging coloring I do to it. I am not huge on styling every day, I don't get out a lot so a messy bun or pony tail is usually what I sport. When I do style it I use all of the hair offending tools, blow drying, straitening and applying lots of product that can cause build up and dryness. I am always on the hunt for a new shampoo/conditioner since I have the problem that some shampoos/conditioners either leave my hair too dry making it feel like straw, or oily...like the product just never fully rinses out.

My Thoughts
I've been using  Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner for a little over 2 weeks now, and I have to admit that I was wrong in my original thinking. I noticed that after just a few washes my hair felt stronger, more manageable. I am not an every day hair washer, it causes too much breakage, so I am thrilled that even though the formula is way thicker than any other shampoo I've used it rinses out easily and leaves my hair manageable. It's not drying nor does it leave my hair greasy feeling or looking even after day 2, like I said I don't wash my hair every day more like every other. The smell is nothing like I expected or remember form the old blue goo. It has a lovely light peach scent mixed with a clean smell but not too overpowering, even my husband loves it. (He has no hair on his head but he has a pretty thick beard and he shampoos it, he really likes using the H&S too!) I love the fact that I can leave my hair down from it's normal pony tail and it had volume and body, and it doesn't knot as much or easily like it normall does!

My rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ = Love it

I can safely say I will continue to use this product for a long time to come. I believe that my quest for the perfect shampoo and conditioner has ended! You can start finding Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner at many food, drug and mass market retailers nation wide starting in January for $4.99 a bottle. You can find the H&S website here. You can also like H&S for Women on Facebook here.

Do you think you will be giving H&S Damage Rescue, or any of their other collections, a try?

(This product was sent for review. All opinions are my own and were not influenced by Head & Shoulders or Influenster in anyway)
