Try It On Tuesday: The Muse's Attitude & The Temptress' Power

Good evening everyone! Post #2 for today, if you missed the first one you can check that one out right here.

Tonight I have my first TIOT! Yay! I have so many untrieds that I haven't even counted them...I'm going to go out on a limb and say that at least 50% of my stash is untried...and if you have seen my stash list lately, which needs to be updated, you know that's a lot of untrieds! So hopefully TIOT's will help thin that list down a bit!

For today's TIOT I got a little help form one of my lovely Facebook fans! She wanted to see something mint or teal...

So my pick for teal was L'Oreal The Muse's Attitude. 

The Muse's Attitude: in the bottle appears to be shimmery teal. IRL it's more of a dark green shimmer with a blackened base. 

The Muse's Attitude is the perfect name for this! I had a hell of a time getting this polish to look good. Normal coats drag and get clumpy towards the tips, so I tried a thick second coat and it flooded my sides and cuticles so badly I will be getting polish out from under my nails for days! It's super brush strokey and bubbled in some places, probably due to the thick 2nd coat. It gave me nothing but "attitude" and will probably end up in my bin of blog sale polishes for the future. I'm sure if I thinned it out it would be easier to work with, but I have several others that are close to this color, so I'm probably going to wish it fair-well!

I decided to add to it 1 coat of L'Oreal The Temptress' Power

The Temptress' Power: is a sheer shimmery gold with a green shift.

I think this would look excellent over black, blue or even purple. The shift in it is really muted due to the fact that I layered it over green, so all it did was make The Muse's Attitude appear to be even more green with a gold shimmer. I'll be keeping The Temptress' Power and see how well it does layered over other colors.

The Muse's Attitude & The Temptress' Power are both part of L'Oreal's Project Runway Collection from this past summer. I know I have seen them at some Walgreen's still. They usually retail for about $5.99. 

What do you think about these 2? Anyone have either one? If so did you have the same issue with The Muse's Attitude? Have you layered The Temptress' Power over any other colors you can recommend?
