Zoya PixieDust 2013 Fall Collection

Hello my polished pretties! I have been waiting to do this post since Zoya first announced back in May that they were releasing these Fall Pixies! I have fast become a textured junkie, I love all the textured polishes I have tried, but I will admit that I love the PixieDust textures the absolute best. They are the least coarse while still maintaining the the texture that I love so much. Plus all of the sparkle, they just dance in the light, better than any others I've tried. These didn't disappoint one bit.

All of the following photos are shown without using a base and top coats, just like Zoya recommends. All are shown as 2 coats with the exception of Tomoko, that one is shown as 3 coats since it was just a tad bit more sheer than the others. Application was amazingly easy, as always. Zoya recommends that you wait until each coat has fully dried, up to 10 minutes, other wise you can end up with a dragging, clumpy mess. Make sure you follow that for hassle free application, I usually wait more along the lines of 3-5 minutes.

 Tomoko...
...described as a romantic champagne silver with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish.

I love this shade, sometimes it look just plain silver but when you really look at it you see that hint of champagne color. the photos are very true to what the color actually is. Tomoko was a bit thinner than the other 5 of the collection but once I added the 3rd coat it was completely opaque. The third coat didn't make it too thick, so it dried just as fast as the others, about 10 minutes for it to be fully dry after the final coat. Some have thought this was going to be too close to Godiva from the original PixieDust collection, well I can assure you that is not the case. Comparison post will be coming soon!

Chita...
...described as a forest green in a matte, textured, sparkling finish.

I was so happy that Zoya came out with a dark green shade in this PixieDust collection. This is a gorgeous shade of green too. Like all the others it is super sparkly and just seems to dance in the light, I really wish I could capture how much sparkle all of the Pixies really have!

Sunshine...
...described as a "Van Gogh" navy blue in a matte, textured, sparkling finish.

This blue is like Liberty's muted sister, still very blue but not as vivid, which makes it a perfect fall blue. It kind of reminds me of sparkly blue jeans! I love blues and this one is pretty perfect!

Carter...
...described as a royal purple in a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish.

Aaaahhhh! Be still my beating heart! I have lots of favorite colors but a gorgeous royal purple, just makes me swoon! The base is so rich and dark and the sparkles are bright and vivid, it makes this my favorite of the collection! I wore this out and about and everyone LOVED it!

Arabella...
...described as a rich fuchsia pink in a matte, textured, sparkling finish.

I was really shocked that I like this one a much as I do, I thought it was going to be too similar to Miranda from the summer Pixie collection. No way! I will have a comparison of these two shades up soon. This gorgeous, rich, sparkling fuchsia has won me over and is definitely a must have!

Dhara...
...described as a fiery orange copper with a matte, textured, sparkling metal finish.

Dhara is also one of my favorites of this collection. I have really been drawn to the orange shades lately, especially the fiery ones. This is a perfect fall shade. I will also have a comparison of this one and Destiny, some have thought they may be too similar. They definitely are NOT dupes, not by a long shot!

*My Top Picks*
Carter, Arabella & Dhara

While those are my top 3 favorites of this collection I had a hard time actually picking just 3! They are all so gorgeous, I wouldn't want to be without any of them!  Which ones are your favorites? I really hope that the PixieDust trend stays, I have so many colors in my head that I hope they come out with in the future! What can I say? I'm a PixieDust junkie!
