Zoya: Focus for Fall 2015 (Full collection swatches)

Press Sample

Hi guys! I hope everyone had a great weekend and your week is off to a good start. Summer is coming to a close, even though this heat seems to be sticking around, and Fall is fast approaching. I have no idea why but this year I was ready for summer to end. I usually live for the summer months but this year I have been really looking forward to all the great things fall has to offer: pumpkin and salted caramel everything, cooler weather, the end of mosquito bites and all the darker, rich colors that mother nature and the beauty world has to offer!

Today I have the first of 2 collections Zoya released for the upcoming fall season. The Focus collection consists of 6 creme polishes in perfect shades for the cooler months to come.
I have all 6 shown as 2 coats without top coat, I really wanted to show you how beautifully these shine all on their own, though for longevity purposes I do always recommend a good top coat!
They all have the wonderful formula that I have come to know and love with Zoya polishes. They have the perfect consistency, giving excellent control, for easy flood free application. They are fairly self leveling, extremely opaque and have a fast dry time. I had not one issue to report, even with Sia (the blue in this set). Zoya warns you to wear a base coat to prevent staining because of how pigmented it is. I always use a base coat and I recommend you do too, not only to prevent staining but to make your manicure last longer. Zoya has an excellent base coat and quick drying top coat as well. Well, let's take a look at the swatches...

Charli: a dusty taupe cream with a hint of green.

Desiree: a classic sable brown cream.

Hannah: a clear, classic red cream with a balanced (neutral) undertone.
*I did want to point out that while they describe this as a cream it applies and looks pretty jelly-ish to me. I used only 2 coats but it could require a 3rd if you use very thin layers

Janel: a deep red cream with a rich warm undertone.

Lidia: a rich eggplant cream with a blackened purple base with just a hint of red.

Sia: a true, royal blue cream.
This is a highly pigmented shade - make sure to apply a base coat to prevent staining.

When I first saw Desiree I instantly thought it looked a lot like Louise from the Cashmere collection that released for Fall 2013. Once I looked at the two bottles side by side I knew they weren't dupes. I figured I'd do quick comparison swatches just in case anyone else was worried about getting dupes.

Desiree is a bit more milk chocolate where Louise has more red undertones to it making it more rich in color. I have Desiree shown on my index and ring fingers and Louise on my middle finger and pinkie.

My Top Picks
Charli
Lidia
Sia

Which are your favorites? Make sure to keep an eye on my Instagram...I have stunning holo top coat that I used on top of each of these beauties....you have to see how fabulous they look!
