Nail Pattern Boldness "Hades"

Hello lovelies! How is everyone doing this Monday evening? My Monday is going really well, it's my 1st wedding anniversary! Yay! My hubby told me for our anniversary he got us tickets to go see Wicked!!! What a sweet boy! Especially since I know he really doesn't like musicals! It's not till December but i don't care because it's WICKED!!  Ok, I'm sorry for the out burst but I just had to tell someone!

On to the nails! I have been sitting on this one for a little while. Since Allison from Nail Pattern Boldness went on vacation I wanted to wait until she was back to show you the latest goodies I had gotten during one of her last restocks!

First I started off with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Scarab.

I want to appologize now for any awkward pictures. My nail finally gave in on my swatch hand (left) so I have had to resort to using my right for swatching. It's weird, I can write, catch, put on make up basically anything with my right hand but hold a polish bottle at the correct angle without looking like I have claws for hands...FAIL. LOL

Next I applied 2 coats of NPB  Hades.

Hades is a special edition polish for Halloween 2012. It's a mix of small, medium and LARGE hex glitters in gunmetal and black, with small iridescent blue hexes. It is tinted to darken any polish it is applied over.

Now let me tell you the best way to apply this polish: the first coat should be when you place the larger glitters, just like with any polish with larger glitters. I'm not saying you need to fish for the glitter, that wasn't a problem with this at all. Dabbing the larger ones on is the best way to get them to stay otherwise you will be wondering why you only have only small glitters once you're finished. Let it dry thoroughly and then apply the second coat like normal.
Also this polish is not meant to be worn over a lighter base color. I have done some playing around with this polish and in my oppinioon it is best over a shimmery red, green or gray color. If you go too dark, you will have a hard time seeing the black hexes since this does darken your colors.

I had a bit of a hard time capturing the beauty of this top coat. The pictures really did not do this justice, i'm thinking I need to ask Santa for a much better camera! This picture was really lit so I could try and show you the large black hexes.

Here are a couple of pictures I took when I was playing around with other colors.

You can purchase Hades for $8 on NPB Etsy shop.
You can also purchase it on Llarowe for $9, for those who are out of NPB shipping areas.

The NPB's are gawjuss!!!!!! Swoon. Sigh. The whole nine yards. I just love the transformation that takes place when that jellied bling goes over the base color. Wow.
