Delightful Lacquers: Tropical & Ruby Slippers

I have a really late post for you all tonight! I had planned on having this up earlier but the kiddies and I had a long day. We did a little shopping, visited the Easter Bunny, went to the playground and then came home to do a little yard work. Now I want to tell you how very evil I am! This yard work was some trickery on my part. I was trying to keep the kids occupied but out of the house, since my husband is working 3rd shift this week and has been feeling under the weather. So I told them we could go outside and they could play. They were getting bored of just running around so I came up with a "contest". I told them whoever could make the  biggest pile of sticks in 10 minutes would get some ice cream. Well an hour later we had all of the fallen branches and sticks gathered up into two great big piles, from and back yard! LOL I even have them roped in for a leaf pile contest tomorrow!! Maybe I could even get my garage cleaned out!!! Yes I know, I'm evil! Anyway, that's why this post is sooooooo late. Ok, enough yammering, I'll get to the polish!

Tropical...
...a shimmery tropical ocean blue.

All photos of Tropical are shown as 3 coats topped with 1 coat Mega Shine.

This formula was a tad on the thicker side. It had a but of dragging when I reached the tips but a drop or 2 of thinner should help that out. It is on the seer side so if you have longer nails 3 coats will be needed, and as you can see I could have done with a 4th, since there is still a bit of VNL. The plus is dry time even with 3 coats was excellent. The color is quite beautiful, wouldn't you agree?

Ruby Slippers...
...a deep ruby red jelly.

All photos of Ruby Slippers are shown as 4 coats with 1 coat Mega Shine.

Again a bit on the thick side, think Zoya's Gloss collection, this has the same thickness as they do. As you can see for a jelly polish it is buildable to eliminate the VNL. This is so squishy and it would look excellent with some glitter sandwiched in between it! Dry time is excellent with this one as well. I really want to try this for a jelly sandwich, especially since this is the only true jelly polish I have in red.

Delightful Lacquers can be purchased on Etsy here. They are priced from $3.96 for mini bottles to $8.73 for full sized bottles. I still have a couple more of polishes from Delightful Lacquers to review so make sure to check back for that!  Tomorrow (today?) is the ABC Challenge Letter K!
