How About A Tutorial?

Good evening my polished pals! I was feeling a bit better at about 6 am so I decided to try and play with my polish for a while. I wanted to do something Christmasy but EASY since I am still feeling yuck and quite sore from all of the coughing. Candy canes came to mind instantly. I wasn't optimistic enough to attempt to do a tape mani, which I love because of the precise lines and my OCD, so I decided to use the stripe mani I did a while back for inspiration. This is my day 12 mani from the 31 day challenge.

I decided to do this again and to make a little picture tutorial of it since it is one of my most popular manis of all time and I have gotten several requests for a tutorial on this one. I think you will be surprised at how ridiculously easy this is!

This is pretty self explanatory so I wont go into writing out each and every step. I will however list what materials I used.

Base: Pure Ice Superstar
Stripes: Color Club striper in red and green.
Using a long striping brush - Essie No Place Like Chrome and Good As Gold
For a touch of sparkle I applied a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.
*Tips: You may need to stripe on a few lines of your base color since it may not show through as much as you'd like after all the other colors have been striped. It may look weird like it does in step 3, but once you add your top coat it will even it all out; sort of blending the lines. Make sure to let it dry well before applying your top coat and try not to push down too hard when you do or it will smear!*

What do you think of this mani? Does that tutorial seem easy enough that even a beginner can achieve this look? If you attempt this I'd love to see, so post it to my Facebook wall!

Finally will mention that If you haven't seen or haven't entered yet Kimber's Lacquer Korner and I are hosting an awesome Indie Giveaway!! So click on the picture and it will take you to the rafflecopter form so you can enter!!

Have a good evening everyone!
