My Favorite Things Challenge: Day 6-Stripes

Hello again ladies! I feel like all I've been doing this week is painting my nails. I mean I'm always painting my nails but I usually keep a mani on for at least 36 hours. This week has been 24 or less and I still haven't even gotten around to swatching all of the new polishes I've gotten recently! Maybe next week I'll have the chance.

On to the challenge...
For the stripes challenge I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Flying Dragon with a coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White underneath, since FD is a neon and neon's are really sheer. Yes, I know, I'm kind of stuck on neon's lately. Maybe it's my own little tribute to the end of summer.

I think I'm in love with this polish! It applied much better than I thought it would, the white base may not have been needed after all.

This is the revamped version of Flying Dragon. The first came out back in 2008 and was a darker purple. This version is a lighter more magenta color. It has a very subtle glitter in it, in pink and blue.

Next I taped off thick stripes with my trusty scotch tape
and painted on top with China Glaze Polarized.

Polarized is part of the China Glaze Prismatic collection, and is suppose to be a duochrome glitter. I myself see no color shift in this polish, but it doesn't change that I love it. It has full coverage in 2 coats and aside from the main glitter color of silver there are slightly larger glitters in yellow, orange, green and pink as well. I'm pretty pleased that I picked this baby up from Sally's clearance rack!

Well those are my stripes!

    1. Check at different Sally's stores! I found Full Spectrum just today and Polarized like a week and a half ago, both for under $2!

  3. I love the purple so much!! I went to Sally's last night to get the green from yesterday - no such luck all gone!! So I picked up some neon pink, which I love and periwinkle blue which I also love! On my next trip, I'll have to see if they've gotten any more in - and of course, now, this purple!!! Love the color combo and your amazingly straight crisp stripes!!

    1. Oh that blows! They had a bunch of both Lime Light. I was actually eyeballing a neon pink and the periwinkle today too! We have nail polish telepathy! LOL But I didn't do it, I got finger paint's back to see if it stamps better. (fingers crossed)
