Hello loves, happy Wednesday! I have another really quick Mish Mash Challenge post today, I promise that I will take my time on these posts soon. I'm still playing catch up on review posts and still a bit under the weather so I'm still just kind of zipping through the Mish Mash posts, but hey it's on time this week! 

I was looking forward to doing this day in the challenge and had a specific mani in mind. When I came down to it I wound up doing something completely different! LOL

Another late post tonight! Sorry! I just can't seem to get my rear in gear. I managed to get some nail art done the other night. I have to say that I am really happy with how this turned out. It isn't exactly what I had started off thinking I was going to create but I like it and I hope you do too!

Welcome back to another day of the ABC Challenge hosted by the ever so sweet and one of my polish BFF’s Kimber from Kimber’s Lacquer Korner! (Who is also having and AWESOME giveaway right now so go forth and enter away!!! I did and I am keeping my fingers crossed!) I know I’m a day late with my post but my internet went kaput yesterday, I think it’s the modem, so I am now waiting for someone to check the connections/modem. Oh well, gives me an excuse to get out and go to Starbucks and get a Cinnamon Dolce Chiai Tea Latte! YUM! Anyway, I was feeling very uninspired for the letter M. I had thought maybe I’ll just slop some polish on and say here ya go, a Messy Mani, until I started to watch Despicable Me. I have watched that movie about a hundred million times, and every time I tell my husband that I want a Minion! LOL Since he hasn’t delivered on that request I decided to create my own Minions!

ABC Challenge: K is for Kids Choice!

Welcome to another day in Kimber's ABC Challenge. The letter K had me a little stumped, I wanted to do some art but I had no idea what to do that would start with the letter K. So I left it up to my niece and nephew, making this a Kid's Choice mani. They picked red so to take the Kid's Choice theme a little further I let one of the kiddos actually do my mani from start to finish! Yes I cheated. I did not create this mani. They are my nails though so it still counts, right? Please be nice to the art work, my 9 year old niece did an excellent job creating her version of ladybugs on my nails! 

*I want to note that the products we used in this mani were provided to me from M•A•S•H Nails for review. I will have an actual full review on the color soon, the Nail Art Pen I reviewed previously in a post that can be found here. Ok now the art...

She even did the clean up too! She's a natural!! 

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A few weeks ago my lovely niece, Nani, asked me if I was planning on doing any St Patrick's Day nails. I normally plan an art mani out and then get so busy with my reviews I just end up sayin fudge it and scrap the whole idea. This time was different since Nani requested that I turn her concept into art on my nails. She is probably one of the most artistic people I will ever meet. This little girl, (young woman? Nah she's still my baby! LOL) can turn some of the most random pieces of scrap into a work of art. Paintings or jewelry, full outfits made of paper to building her own doll house from scratch, that the cat now sleeps in by the way, she is a true artist, in mind, eye and attitude  I only hope that as she grows up that creativity grows with her and she won't let adolescence take away that artistic side! So this mani is for my Nani Bear! (She's going to kill me for writing that!)

Watermelon Nail Art Using M•A•S•H Nails Products

Good evening boys and girls! I have really wanted to try some watermelon nail art for a long time and I have quite a bit of M•A•S•H Nails polishes to review for you all so I figured I'd try it out now! 

I created this look using M•A•S•H nail polish in Lime & Strawberry and Nail Art Pen in Black. 

(White & dark green, are not mash, they were added for effect)

Yet another late post! I had a bust day today so I am just now getting a chance to post this for you all. I was contacted a week or so ago by M•A•S•H Nails to see if I would be interested in reviewing something, of course I said yes! When I received my package I was surprised at all the cool goodies that were in it! I will be honest, when I think of M•A•S•H I think of stamp plates. I actually own quite a few of their plates, but I kinda suck at stamping, so when they sent me scented polish, matte top coat, fimo slices, and nail art pens I was relieved and even more excited to review for them! 

All of the goodies I will have reviewed for you in future posts.

Grey's Anatomy

Just a quick late night post here! I had planned on getting this up much earlier but I got wrapped up in some house work and then the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy came on! I just wanted to do show you gals my Grey's Anatomy mani!

 

 

I applied 3 coats of Wet n Wild  Gray's Anatomy

 

I have seen this color in the store about a million times and never bothered getting it because it didn't really wow me. But while I was at CVS the other day the girl at check out said that there was a bin that had a bunch of polishes for $.20! Yes twenty cents! So I grabbed every color they had in that bin, and Gray's Anatomy was one of them!

 

I actually like this so much more than I originally thought! This just goes to show that you can't judge a bottle by its color! Swatches are so important! It looks way better on my hand than in the bottle.

 

I really like the how the color shifts from gray to lavender to green!

 

 

Then I drew some hearts with Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar on my middle finger and stamped the rest of the nails with Finger Paints Black Expressionism using my Mash plate M-38.

 

Did anyone else watch the Grey's Anatomy premier tonight? If so, did you cry like a GIANT baby? No? Well...um neither did I. LOL! Yes I'm a crier!

 



Leo The Lion...so Rare & Radient

Happy Friday everyone! Today is my birthday, so I had to do a special mani for it!

When my nephew was visiting a couple weeks ago he picked out China Glaze Rare & Radiant. It's been said that it's a dupe for Chanel Peridot which I would love to get but refuse to pay $$. Anyhow, since Peridot is August's birthstone I knew when little man picked it I was going to save it for my birthday mani!

(I made a lightbox last night. I may need to add another lamp, but I'm not sure. You be the judge)

I  did 2 coats of  R&R and it was completely opaque.

I love the change of color, In the bottle it shifts green, gold, blue. But I had a very hard time trying to capture the blue shift because it wasn't as predominant once applied.

I had to make a lion! It wouldn't be a proper Leo mani without it!

Then I stamped the Leo Zodiac Sign with Mash-34

I added some dots and a clear rhinestone to each.

To finish I topped them all off with SV.

I know this post wasn't very detailed today but I haven't been to bed yet and I need to catch a couple hours of sleep today.

Anyway, that's the birthday mani.

Ozotic 533 - Essie No Place Like Chrome

I received my first holo from my new blogger buddy over at OhThreeOhFour, and I have to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

This is also my first Essie too! I was so excited to have them I needed to use them both at once!

So without further ado, on to the post!

Warning: This post is going to be picture heavy. Sorry.

I started off on top of my base coat with 2 coats of Ozotic 533

It was sooooooo hard to capture the range of colors in this polish.

Then with Essie No Place Like Chrome I stamped with my Mash-47 plate

I love Essie's formula!

Too bad I'm still working on my stamping skills!

The good thing is I wanted to get more of that holo effect so I added 2 more coats on top.

It helped me make up for my crappy stamping job! Sort of a holo sandwich. LOL

Unfortunately it was a very overcast day so pictures were hard.

Indoor window light is the closest thing I have next to sunlight.

Yes, I know I need to build a lightbox!

And a few flash pictures.

One drawback to the Ozotic is the dry time. It was taking forever to dry so I did a holo no no and applied a coat of SV. I don't think it really had too much of an effect on the look though.

Stormy Skies

Happy Saturday ladies! I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather! I know I am.
 So in honor of the storm we had here the other night, that lead to our big cool down,
I wanted to do some stormy nails.

I applied 1 coat of Sinful Colors Rain Storm.

This is such a thick, opaque, creamy polish. I absolutely love the formula and the color.

This would make a great stamping polish.

Then on my index and ring fingers I applied 1 coat of

Nail Pattern Boldness I Believe I Can Fly.

I really looooove this polish with the differnt color blue glitters and the hint of red. It's stunning!

It really didn't need to be used as a top coat, since this amazing glitter bomb has a lovely blue base to it. After 2 or 3 coats, I'm sure, it would provide full coverage!

I pulled out Sinful Colors Snow Me White to do some stamping.

I used my Mash-37 plate on my thumbs and pinkies to add clouds.

Then my Fauxnad plate MLS301 on my middle fingers to add lightning bolts.

Then I added a coat of D&R Apothecary Calla Lily.

It added a siver sheen to the white bolts and clouds to make them kina stormy looking.

I think the glitters made it look like rain a little bit.

Finally, of course, I topped it all off with a coat of SV.

Smitten Kitten

I recently won a great giveaway that was hosted by the super sweet Dulcie at ohthreeohfour.

I won 2 polishes, Smitten Polish Mint Chip and Elevation Polish Stay Behind Catch A Wave

 and a cute nail file.

So of course I had to try out at least 1 of my new lovelies, I decided on Mint Chip.
I wasn't sure how it would look on me but as soon as I put it on...WOW! I love this polish!
I applied 3 thin coats of it. For those who like glitter bombs this isn't one of them the small glitters come out no problem, the larger you have to pick out but it works well with this. If they came out in an abundance it would have been too much to actually look like Mint Chip Ice Cream!

I used Sinful Colors Nirvana on my ring fingers.

I says it's a "matte" but it wasn't, but it's ok with me. 

I used Mash plate 46 with Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet to stamp some flowers.

and I added 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I really like Fairy Dust, it's a great fine glitter polish, very subtle for those days when you just want a hint of sparkle.

I finished it off with a coat of SV.

I liked this so much I wore it for 3 days! That's a long time for me!

And as promised in my last post here are the China Glaze polishes my
nephew picked out for me last weekend, exept the Fairy Dust
he didn't care for that one too much! LOL

He did a pretty good job I think!
