TIOT: U-Neek Polish "Bradenton Beach" & "Carpe Diem"

Hi all! Today's post is a triple whammy, Try It On Tuesday, Blue for Autism Awareness and a review post all in on! Whew, that was a lot! LOL! I have 2 blue beauties from U-Neek Polish to show you all today! I want to first take a minute to share a few things about Autism...

"Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms for a group of complex disorders of brain development. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. They include autistic disorder, Rett syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) and Asperger syndrome.
ASD can be associated with intellectual disability, difficulties in motor coordination and attention and physical health issues such as sleep and gastrointestinal disturbances. Some persons with ASD excel in visual skills, music, math and art.
Autism appears to have its roots in very early brain development. However, the most obvious signs of autism and symptoms of autism tend to emerge between 2 and 3 years of age. "

Here are some signs to look for in the children in your life:

Lack of or delay in spoken language
Repetitive use of language and/or motor mannerisms (e.g., hand-flapping, twirling objects)
Little or no eye contact
Lack of interest in peer relationships
Lack of spontaneous or make-believe play

Persistent fixation on parts of objects

Being aware and helping spread awareness can help make everyday life easier for someone with autism, it may even save a life! If you would like to learn more about Autism you can find more info at www.autismspeaks.org

 Bradenton Beach...
...teal holo.
All photos of Bradenton Beach are shown as 2 coats topped with Mega Shine.

Bradenton Beach is almost a 1 coater! The formula is absolutely perfect and just glides on to the nail with out any issues at all. It dries a bit matte but the holo does seem to show best when there is no top coat, UNFORTUNATELY  there seems to be a perpetual bout of gloom here, so that means no sunlight pictures therefore I was unable to capture any of the holo, it isn't super strong but it is visible. Boo for April Showers!! Since there was no sun shine I decided to add the top coat to show you how these  looked with a high shine vs without making it slightly matte, like Carpe Diem. (Shown below)

Carpe Diem...
...blue holo.
All photos of Carpe Diem are shown as 2 coats no top coat.

Like Bradenton Beach, the formula is excellent. Applies smoothly and almost a 1 coater. It does dry slightly matte as well, but the holo shows more without a top coat. As you can see there is still some shine to it without the top coat so you really don't need one. I really wish I had been able to get some sunny pictures so see how strong the holo can show on these 2 polishes. I guess I'll just have to re-swatch them when I can get some sun, if that ever happens!!

Both of these are absolute beauties! What do you think?
