Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A few weeks ago my lovely niece, Nani, asked me if I was planning on doing any St Patrick's Day nails. I normally plan an art mani out and then get so busy with my reviews I just end up sayin fudge it and scrap the whole idea. This time was different since Nani requested that I turn her concept into art on my nails. She is probably one of the most artistic people I will ever meet. This little girl, (young woman? Nah she's still my baby! LOL) can turn some of the most random pieces of scrap into a work of art. Paintings or jewelry, full outfits made of paper to building her own doll house from scratch, that the cat now sleeps in by the way, she is a true artist, in mind, eye and attitude  I only hope that as she grows up that creativity grows with her and she won't let adolescence take away that artistic side! So this mani is for my Nani Bear! (She's going to kill me for writing that!)

All the pretty colors I used!

Day 26...and I bet you thought I forgot!

Inspired by a pattern. I really was having a major block when it came to picking back up in the challenge. I have been doing so much swatching lately that I feel like I have nail art block. Just when I was about to call it quits, I decided to use the pattern I see every single day. My towels! Duh.
So here it is, my day 26 mani., and yes I know I skipped 23, 24 & 25, so please forgive me.

31 Day Challenge Day 12 "Stripes"

Happy Autumn everyone! I've been feeling like fall hit a while ago, since I received that message on my Starbucks App saying the Pumpkin Spice Latte and Salted Caramel Mocha were back, but today is the official first day of fall! I will tell you now I am not the follower of certain trends, one of those is that since it's fall I can't wear my neons or bright colors any more! I will try to sport more of the dark colors, since it really is hard to pull those off during summer months, but I refuse to be told I can't "shine" just because it's cold outside! ;)
So in honor of my rebellion and also to sort of say good bye to my favorite season I settled on a bright striped mani today!

*Note: If you are interested in a tutorial on how I created this mani please click here.*

For this mani I applied 2 coats of Sinful Colors Innocent. Then with my Kiss Nail Art Polishes I striped each of the following colors, in no particular order, leaving a bit of the base color showing.
Beach Yellow, Orange, Beach Pink, Soft Purple, Soft Blue, Silver Glitter, White and Black

I know that's a lot of pix but I really liked how they turned out! LOL After all the bitching and complaining about the ugly pictures the other day I think I've come to the realization that it just takes patience and practice to get the right shot, it's not my camera it was a user error! LMAO

As always make sure to check out the other talented ladies participating in this challenge!
Next up is animal print! Yay!

*Also, I am only 20 likes away from hitting 100 on my Facebook Fan Page! The sooner I hit 100 the sooner I start the giveaway!*

31 Day Challenge Day 4 "Green"

I'm having a busy week, between the challenges and family thing and now I've started walking with my cousin everyday. ( Gotta get this fat ass in shape! ) But the challenge must go on!
For my green I used China Glaze In The Lime Light

This is 4 coats, being a neon it is a very thin formula.

Then I drew on some leaves? flowers? I don't know what it is. LOL

I used Kiss nail art polishes in white and silver then dotted using black over silver.

Then I added black rhinestones.

I like how this turned out. This wasn't what I had originally planned to do for this part of the challenge. I was suppose to do a snake skin mani using the paper towel technique. Unfortunately that was a Major FAIL! I don't know how that technique can even work, it was quite difficult. Has anyone tried it? If so, do you have any pointers? I'd really like to make it work.

My Favorite Things Challenge Day 1

Gooooooooood morning polish junkies!!! How is everyone this glorious day?  I hope well.
Today I will be starting the My Favorite Things Challenge that is being hosted by the lovely
Kelly at Ooh La La Polish. My challenge buddy Nicole from Nicole Gets Nailed brought this great challenge to my attention. Thank you ladies very much!

Now on to the challenge.

This should be an interesting challenge! I'm so excited about  doing it, hopefully it will spark my creativity  back up.

Day 1. Favorite color!

This was a difficult decision for me. I Love PINK....I Love Purple. I was torn. So I used them both.

I decided to use 2 brand new polishes from the set my hubby got for me for my birthday, which is tomorrow. (My birthday is like a week long event and I've been getting presents every day this week. Yay me! LOL) He ordered me the matte•n•a collection by Max Makeup Cherimoya.

I used Mystery (purple) and Fairytale (pink)

Now I've only ever seen these polishes on Amazon, so I'm not sure of the popularity.
Mystery was very opaque and only required 1 coat.
Fairytale needed 3 but I still had VNL.

Mystery is a beautiful color, but once I used it on a couple of nails it started to get clumpy. :(
So doing the lines on this was a nightmare! Hence the crappy job. Oh well...I just added a little bit of Kiss Purple Glitter to even it out a bit.

I don't know how often I will use these polishes because they STINK. Literally, they smell so bad it burned my nose! 16 of them came in the set, which I will post about soon.
Either way, they served their purpose for today's mani.
Not my favorite work but again I loved the colors so I guess its a fair trade.
