KBShimmer: Breaking Blues & Carpe Denim for Fall 2015 Swatches

Good morning and happy Monday! I have so much to show you guys this week, well over the next 2 weeks actually. Between swatching, getting blog posts ready, working and prepping for the holiday...I may just lose my mind here shortly! Oh well, that's life.

I figured since winter is just around the corner I should show you all these two fall polishes first in my long line of planned posts. I was originally supposed to show these to you a couple of months ago but, silly me, I listed my address incorrectly and wound up receiving them with my winter samples! Oops! I'm so bad about proofing. Anyway, these babies were definitely worth the wait, so let's get to it...

Zoya: Flair for Fall 2015 (Full collection swatches)

Hello loves! I hope everyone's weekend was great. It has finally started cooling down here, it's really beginning to feel like fall. So I have some great fall shades from Zoya's Flair collection. This set consists of 6 metallic polishes. I have all 6 shown here as 2 coats, unless noted below, topped with Superchic Lacquer Marvel Top Coat. They all have excellent formulas, applying silky smooth, and they dry very quickly. I love Zoya's metallic formulas because they aren't brush strokey and they have a lovely shimmer to them.

Superchic Lacquer: Goosebumps Collection Swatches and Marvel-Star Top Coat Review (Picture Heavy)

Hi guys! How about a late night post? Tonight I have the second of the two collections that Jen from Superchic Lacquer created for this Fall season. (If you happened to miss my post for the Dreamology collection check that out here!) The Goosebumps collection consists of 10 crelly bases packed with glitter and shimmer. Now these aren't just any old crelly glitter polishes, these bad boys are thermals and all but two glow under UV/black light!

I have each shade shown as 3 coats, I did three because of the length of my nails two should be sufficient for most people though. All of them have a nice formula, not thick at all but not too thin that it will cause flooding. These are pretty glitter dense and can be a tad tricky to get some of the larger glitters out, so I recommend turning them upside down for about 5-10 minutes before applying. This will allow the glitters to travel to the top of the bottle so you won't have to fish for them. They all dry down to a matte finish and can be quite textured due to the amount and size of the glitters so I used a coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food for all of them to smooth them out, then a coat of Marvel Top Coat for a high-shine finish (unless noted below). Dry time even without top coat was excellent and the thermal shift was crazy visible! I will warn you right now that some of these colors really freaked my phone out, I tried as hard as I could to get the most color accurate photos for you. Also, for a few of these I feel like I may have failed a little in showing how extreme the change in color really is, it's still disgustingly hot here and under my lights the cool state kept wanting to change really fast. I seriously almost froze my fingers off in ice water trying to get the full cold shots and I still had a hard time snapping them fast enough! Stupid Indian Summer! I'm ready for the cool down!

Ok, I'm done with all the yapping. Let's look at photos. Oh, by the way, I did make collages of these since this is a large collection and so many looks to each polish. I hope you enjoy!

Superchic Lacquer: Dreamology Collection Swatches

Hey all! Today I have a stunning Fall collection from Superchic Lacquer to show you. The Dreamology collection, the first of two collections Jen has created for us, consists of 6 rich linear holographic polishes. I have each shown here as 1 coat, yes 1 coat, topped with Superchic Marvel Top Coat. These are all extremely pigmented so you need to make sure you wear a good base coat to prevent any possible staining. The formula for these is a little on the thicker side, not gloopy though so don't worry about that, The thicker consistency makes it easier to apply in one coat and gives you lots of control so it doesn't flood the cuticle or sides. I would recommend that if you tend to polish a bit heavy handed to try and use a bit of a lighter touch though, otherwise you will have a little bit of dragging. Other than that I had no issues at all, they are perfect!

Let's dive into the swatches...

Zoya: Focus for Fall 2015 (Full collection swatches)

Press Sample

Hi guys! I hope everyone had a great weekend and your week is off to a good start. Summer is coming to a close, even though this heat seems to be sticking around, and Fall is fast approaching. I have no idea why but this year I was ready for summer to end. I usually live for the summer months but this year I have been really looking forward to all the great things fall has to offer: pumpkin and salted caramel everything, cooler weather, the end of mosquito bites and all the darker, rich colors that mother nature and the beauty world has to offer!

Today I have the first of 2 collections Zoya released for the upcoming fall season. The Focus collection consists of 6 creme polishes in perfect shades for the cooler months to come.
I have all 6 shown as 2 coats without top coat, I really wanted to show you how beautifully these shine all on their own, though for longevity purposes I do always recommend a good top coat!
They all have the wonderful formula that I have come to know and love with Zoya polishes. They have the perfect consistency, giving excellent control, for easy flood free application. They are fairly self leveling, extremely opaque and have a fast dry time. I had not one issue to report, even with Sia (the blue in this set). Zoya warns you to wear a base coat to prevent staining because of how pigmented it is. I always use a base coat and I recommend you do too, not only to prevent staining but to make your manicure last longer. Zoya has an excellent base coat and quick drying top coat as well. Well, let's take a look at the swatches...

Zoya Entice: Fall 2014 Collection Swatches

Hello all! I am REALLY super crazy behind on posts, it's a very long and personal story so I'm not going to get into details. However I am trying to get myself back on track here, I have had swatches done for a little while I just haven't had the time to get them posted, so I am trying to get myself all caught up. I will have a bunch of Zoya collections and some other things to show y'all!

Today I have the first half of the Fall Collection Entice & Ignite! I was crazy excited for this collection since they finally named a polish Genevieve! This set of 6 consists of beautiful creamy fall shades. They all applied nice and easy, leveling out wonderfully and give off a lovely high shine even without a top coat. All 6 are shown here as 2 coats, no top coat.

Laquerlicious Fall 2014 Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I'm really excited about today's post. I have quite a few fall collections in my possession as of right now and this gorgeous Laquerlicious collection is the first to make an appearance on the blog.

If you’ve tried Laquerlicious polishes you already know how excellent the quality is. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? Michelle, the creator of Laquerlicious, has some of the most beautiful Indie polishes and they always have the best formulas making application a breeze! This collection is full of deliciously rich fall shades that will make those gloomy autumn days tolerable.
Each polish is shown here as 2 coats topped with Barielle's fast drying top coat, No-Chip Speed Dry. All 9 of these beauties have excellent formulas, no flooding, pooling, dragging or clumping and they are all self-leveling. They also have a nice consistency to them, not to thick but not thin by any means, giving you excellent control and requiring less clean up.

So let's take a look at what Michelle has whipped up for us...

Zoya PixieDust 2013 Fall Collection

Hello my polished pretties! I have been waiting to do this post since Zoya first announced back in May that they were releasing these Fall Pixies! I have fast become a textured junkie, I love all the textured polishes I have tried, but I will admit that I love the PixieDust textures the absolute best. They are the least coarse while still maintaining the the texture that I love so much. Plus all of the sparkle, they just dance in the light, better than any others I've tried. These didn't disappoint one bit.

All of the following photos are shown without using a base and top coats, just like Zoya recommends. All are shown as 2 coats with the exception of Tomoko, that one is shown as 3 coats since it was just a tad bit more sheer than the others. Application was amazingly easy, as always. Zoya recommends that you wait until each coat has fully dried, up to 10 minutes, other wise you can end up with a dragging, clumpy mess. Make sure you follow that for hassle free application, I usually wait more along the lines of 3-5 minutes.
