Superchic Lacquer: Project Runway Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! I have a late night post for ya tonight. I just got these late Sunday and had to try and rush to get them swatched since they are launching tomorrow! I really wanted to show you how beautifully holo these are, but the sun just wasn't cooperating with me. Soooooo since it was cloudy and gloomy I had to use my trusty ol' Ottie! While I didn't manage to capture some of the holo-ie goodness, these photos really don't do justice to this collection. Trust me when I say they are super sparkly and rainbowy. Do you like how I just make up words? LOL

The Superchic Lacquer Project Runway Collection consists of 8 "SuperHolo" shades, basically a holo pigmented base packed full of holo micro glitters. I have all 8 swatched here as 1 coat, yes 1, topped with 1 coat of Superchic Marvel Top Coat. Jen has said that since these are "high saturation" colors, they can possibly cause some staining. I didn't have any problems, just make sure to use a good quality base coat to prevent any issues. The holo is very noticeable in all of these, both scattered and linear, it just depends on the light and angle to determine which you will see.

The formula for these is on the thicker side, personally I prefer a thick formula. I find that with a thick formula you get better control, making application easier and requiring less clean up, if any at all. Just make sure to not over work the polish when applying or you will have some pulling since it very glitter dense. I did use only one thick coat for each of these but you could definitely use 2 thinner coats if you prefer. If you do, just be patient and allow the first coat to dry down completely first or you will have some clumping. Since these are very glitter dense they do dry down textured, but not at all abrasive. On a scale of 1-5 (1 = no texture, 5 = rough) I'd say these are about a 3/3.5. I only used 1 coat of top coat because 1) I was running low ( I actually used the last of my Marvel Top Coat on these swatches) and 2) I wanted to see how hungry these polishes were. At first I thought I could get away with 1 coat but they did eat my top coat just a bit so I will definitely do 2 next time I wear them.
Let's get into the swatches now...

Polish 'M: Fall 2015 Swatches (Full Collection)

Hi guys!! It's been a while since I've done a full blown indie post, but I really thought this amazing collection deserved the full write up! Plus with all the hoopla going on in the polish community I thought it would be a great time to show my love for an indie brand that I know, completely trust and positively adore! Polish 'M started up 3 years ago originally as Laquerlicious, then rebranded at the beginning of this year as Polish 'M. Michelle, the creative genius behind the sparkle, has always released great collections but she has really outdone herself with this one! This is the ultimate fall collection, something for everyone. If you're like me you will love each and every lacquer in this set!

Wing Dust Collections "Sunset Glow" & "Bonfire Under the Stars"

Hello loves! Today I have a couple of beautiful shifty top coats from one of my absolute favorite Indies!
Wing Dust Collections has some of the most amazing polishes and these are no exception! Both of these are shown as 2 coats over Finger Paints Black Expressionism topped with Sally Hansen Diamond Flash. The formula for each was excellent, they flow on tho the nail smooth as silk with no pulling or dragging and dry quickly. They would both look excellent over any color but dark colors make the shift more apparent.

WingDust Collections: Day Dreamer (White Holo)

Tonight I have 1 of several new holographic polishes from Wing Dust Collections new spring line!
The sun has been quite fickle around these parts as of lately. It's kind of a game of tag that I've been playing with it! When it's out I rush to swatch a holo and just as soon as I am ready to photograph it hides! I swear the sun gods are getting a good chuckle from the whole fiasco! I did manage to get some decent sun this past Saturday, (right before it snowed about a foot!) and I really wanted to show this one to you all first, of all the holos I have to review for you, so I made sure I swatched this one before any others! Which turned out to be a good thing since I had someplace to go and didn't have time to swatch any others.

Cameo Colours Lacquers: Athena & Brighid

Tonight I have 2 of 6 colors from Cameo Colours Lacquers new Divine Collection that just released today. I was planning on swatching all 6 for you all but the sun has not been very cooperative lately. This morning I had a butt ton of sunshine and just as soon as I get outside to photograph the first polish I realize it was overcast sunshine. Then after the second one the sun ran away completely. I waited to see if it would come back out but I had no such luck. So the rest will follow as soon as I can get some sun!

Delightful Lacquers "Coastal Sands"

My ABC post should be up shortly...I hope. LOL Right now I have a new to me Indie to show you, Delightful Lacquers! Truth be told I am always a little leery of purchasing newer Indie names, for fear that they are of poor quality. I have heard these same fears expressed by some of my readers as well. So when a newer one asks for me to review it's all ways nice so that way I can help you all make a decision. I have learned that even the biggest names can have terrible quality and some smaller Indies, some virtually unheard of, can be great and beautiful gems that really deserve more attention. I think that Delightful Lacquers may actually be one of those gems!

TIOT: Hard Candy Little Hottie & WindDust Dancing Queen

Just a quick post, I know it's a late one but I wanted to try out one of my new Itzy Glitzy Hard Candy polishes! So why not use one for my TIOT, yes I know it's not Tuesday anymore,

*EDIT* Frankenstain Nail Polish: Venus In The Sea, Kassandra & Sleep Deprived

Today's TIOT post is going to be a late one. I am going to try to have double posts up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a little while. I have a TON of reviews to get done and with all the extra things going on around the house and my TIOT and ABC posts taking those days away I am having a hard time keeping up. Today I have the final 3 of my  Frankenstain Nail Polish reviews.

G is for Galaxy Nails

Happy Wednesday my polished pretties, and welcome to another day in the ABC Challenge! Today's mani has been on my list of "Nails To Try" for a very long time now. I participated in another challenge hosted by Kimber over at Kimbers Lacquer Korner, the 31 Day Challenge. There was a Galaxy day in that challenge, I skipped it. :/ Boo me. I don't know why but Galaxies really intimidate me, they seem so time consuming and I've seen some that look like blobs of polish and paint so I skipped it because I was afraid that mine would be hideous. However, I am trying to branch out just a little more and try things that I may not like or I am intimidated by.

F is for Flocking Funky French!

Hi girls and boys, happy humpday and welcome to day F in the ABC Challenge! I have been looking forward to this day for a while. It's been a long time since I've done a french mani and I really wanted to see how it looked on my stilettos, since I've never done one on them. I just received my first flocking powders from the oh so sweet Nicole over at Nicole Gets Nailed so I knew I had to use some on my F day!

Laquerlicious: St. Patrick's Lucky Day Review

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was unexpectedly busy. I had quite a few plans for manis that I wanted to post but life happened and prevented me from doing so. Oh well, I like getting out of the house and my niece, mom AND dad surprised me and my hubs by driving out and taking us out for lunch yesterday! That's huge since my mom and dad have been divorced since I was a teenager. They crack me up with how well they get along now, I guess sometimes you just gotta love divorce! Ok that's enough of my rambling, let's get on with the show...

I received a surprise package last week from Michelle of Laquerlicious with some beauties to review for you all, and since everyone is promoting and swatching Valentine's Day collections (I have reviewed quite a few in the past several weeks) I decided to break up the "love fest" and swatch Michelle's gorgeous St. Patrick's Day polish for you all!

Color Club Holo Hues *Spring 2013*

Today I have the entire set of Color Clubs Spring 2013 Holo Hues Collection. I missed out on the first set, when everyone was buying them at cheaper prices, so when I found this set through an IG connection I made sure I grabbed one before the prices went up.

Nail Pattern Boldness: Hello? Collection Review & Swatches

Happy Monday!!! Today I have an amazing Valentine’s Day collection from my most favorite Indie maker! I know that there are a TON of Vday collections out there and you may be feeling smacked in the face with them, but these are more than just Vday polishes! These kind of make me think of  that scene in Bambi, when everything starts to thaw and all the animals get Twitterpated! LOL These polishes aren’t just a bunch of hearts in a bottle, they are flowers and butterflies too! Very Spring like and not just your ordinary Vday polishes, so these beauties can be worn long after the obligatory flowers have died and the conversation hearts have disappeared!
