Zoya Naturel Satin Swatches

Hello all! I hope everyone is well and ready for some beautiful Zoya swatches! Today I have the Naturel Satins. Now I know a lot of mixed feeling have been had about these but I honestly think they are great! They all had lovely application and each of them complimented my skin tone perfectly. I think they would all look fabulous on anyone really!
I have each shade shown as 2 coats no top coat. They all dry down to a semi-matte "Satin" finish and have a slight egg shell like texture. They are nice and thick, but not to much, so you have great control with application to reduce flooding of the cuticles and sides. Dry time seemed pretty excellent as well.

Zoya Naturel Deux Collection Swatches and Review

Happy Thursday loves! I'm sure you have seen that Zoya released a new collection of neutral shades by now. This is a collection that will transition your polished tips from the bright summer shades to the lovely deep shades Zoya has in store for us this fall! If you haven't already seen the first Naturel Collection make sure you check that one out here

All of these are shown here as 2 coats topped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. The formulas were great, exactly with what I have come to expect of Zoya: no flooding, pooling, dragging or thickening just smooth and self leveling.

Zoya Naturel Collection Swatches and Review

Happy Tuesday my polished pretties! I have been a little behind on my review posts due to being sick for what seems like an eternity. That on top of the holiday hustle and bustle time just got away from me. I will hopefully have a few more posts up this week and get caught up. This post is one that I have been meaning to get to for a little while now as well. Back before the holidays Zoya announced their first new collection of 2014: The Naturel collection. “Six neutral nude shades with pink undertones.”

Rockabilly Roses Nail Art - Guest Post by Kimber's Lacquer Korner

Hi girls and boys! I am currently on vacation but I managed to gather up some guest posts to keep you all entertained while I'm away.  Today's guest post is brought to you by the Amazing Kimber from Kimber's Lacquer Korner. Kimber has been a great friend to me since I joined up on her 31 Day Challenge post last year. She has really helped me make it through my many cases of blogger blues and I am ever so grateful to her for being a virtual shoulder for me to lean on! You should definitely give Kimber a follow on her blog if you already aren't, her swatches are always flawless and she does some of the best stamping ever! I strive to stamp like her one day!  Check out Kimber's post after the jump! ♥

Hubby and I are going to Louisiana next week, and I hope I will get to meet some of the guys from Duck Dynasty! I'd love that! :) I've been trying to get all of my review polishes done before I leave so I can finally get the renovations finished here at my house when I get back. “Work Appropriate” nail polish doesn’t have to be boring. (Zoya Press Release)

Get to work with the best neutral nail polish: Zoya Godiva
We all know that “work appropriate” fashion and beauty office guidelines vary greatly from company to company depending on the business at hand. And fingernails are often viewed as best covered in clear nail polish, just buffed or a worn in classic French Manicure to error on the side of humdrum and boring but safe in some environments...

Zoya PixieDustTM in Godiva solves this common workplace dilemma with a neutral nail polish color option that is modern, soft and stylish and works as well in the classroom, boardroom and courtroom as it does at a red-carpet movie premieres.

Here’s why... the textured, matte nude nail polish Godiva is beautifully buildable from semi-sheer as a single coat to full-coverage in just two coats, depending on your personal color intensity preference. No matter what, the look is always that of impeccably groomed and modest with just enough sparkle to keep things feminine (and a dare we say a bit sexy too - work it girl!).

The unexpected and huge bonus to Zoya’s PixieDustTM Godiva formulation is that the color dries quickly, requires no base or top coats and is long wearing - which saves precious time for busy professional women (and Mom’s) who always want and need to look their best in a variety of professional situations.

*INSIDER PRO MANICURE TIP*: If you would like to customize Godiva to perfectly match your skin tone, it’s easy. Simply add a drop or two of another Zoya PixieDustTM color, usually Chyna, as desired to the bottle and blend by gently stirring the two shades together. Wearing the color as a semi-sheer single coat also allows your natural skin tone to show through for subtle “naked nail” look that works beautifully with any light or dark skin pigmentation.

See the “Zoya How to apply Zoya PixieDustTM Video” for more great beauty tips and tricks to use when applying Zoya PixieDustTM.

XOXO Nails: He's Just Not Into You & Dottie

I know many of you have seen  or heard about the new FTC Guidelines that have had bloggers changing their formats, if not you can find the guidelines by looking them up on google. I have always disclosed if a product was provided to me but I'm guessing it wasn't black and white enough so I have updated my "Disclosure Tab" and will be linking it in each post. After hours of struggle, and a long string of obscenities that made my husband retreat in fear, I have decided not to do the "disclosure buttons" that many bloggers are including on their pages. I will admit that am in no way a computer nerd but I am usually capable of doing some small/simple things when it comes to my blog,  apparently this task was just beyond my realm. Therefore in the interest of preserving my sanity and my marriage I have opted to just use a basic link. So, again, at the top and bottom of my posts there will be a link to my disclosure page...Press Sample, Purchased By Me, Sponsored Post and /or Affiliate Post.
Also while I'm on the subject of links, I don't know if any of my regular readers have noticed, but I have been linking previous posts, collections, labels, etc., in my posts. So if you see a a group of words that are a different color, click it! It will direct you to posts you may have missed in the past!

Ok! Now that that mumbo jumbo is out of the way I have 2 of 5 polishes from XOXO Nails' Naked Truth Collection to show you all today.

Delightful Lacquers "Coastal Sands"

My ABC post should be up shortly...I hope. LOL Right now I have a new to me Indie to show you, Delightful Lacquers! Truth be told I am always a little leery of purchasing newer Indie names, for fear that they are of poor quality. I have heard these same fears expressed by some of my readers as well. So when a newer one asks for me to review it's all ways nice so that way I can help you all make a decision. I have learned that even the biggest names can have terrible quality and some smaller Indies, some virtually unheard of, can be great and beautiful gems that really deserve more attention. I think that Delightful Lacquers may actually be one of those gems!

Zoya PixieDust: Full Collection Swatches and Review

Hi girls and boys! As you know, unless you've been living under a rock, Textured  polishes are the big thing this year. I know that a lot of you have been going crazy over Zoya's version of this hot trend, so I am happy to bring the whole PixieDust collection here to my blog today for your viewing pleasure!

"PixieDust Application Information -  Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!" -Zoya
