How About A Tutorial?
Good evening my polished pals! I was feeling a bit better at about 6 am so I decided to try and play with my polish for a while. I wanted to do something Christmasy but EASY since I am still feeling yuck and quite sore from all of the coughing. Candy canes came to mind instantly. I wasn't optimistic enough to attempt to do a tape mani, which I love because of the precise lines and my OCD, so I decided to use the stripe mani I did a while back for inspiration. This is my day 12 mani from the 31 day challenge.

Day 29 "Inspired by the supernatural"
Ok, I apologize in advance for the half-assed job I've done on this day of the challenge. I was kind of in a hurry since I am in the process of a few reviews. But I am determined to actually finish this challenge with no more skip days! So since I was in such a hurry I decided to go for an easy out. Here are my Ectoplasmic Goo nails that were inspired by the Ghostbusters.

My First Giveaway!! ***CLOSED***
This Giveaway Is Now Closed!
I have some goodies for you guys today! All these items are things that I personally
use & love and I wanted to share them with you!
Up first!
Now I have told you all that I was planning on having Nail Pattern Boldness Flipping Out Hard as one of the Prizes for my first giveaway, but what I didn't tell you was a few weeks ago Allison, the creative mind behind the NPB label has generously donated 2 more of her beauties to my giveaway! She has given us a bottle of her new Halloween polish Bitches Brew and one of the regulars in her collection, Ninja vs. Pirate. I absolutely L-O-V-E Allison's polishes! They are all amazing in color, quality and price! Click on the names for the swatches of each of these beauties!
Next!
I have China Glaze Crackle polishes. I get that a lot of people are not crazy about Crackle...honestly I'm not a huge fan of crackle, but oddly I really like these! I've not had the chance to swatch my own yet but I know there are some really nice swatches out in out little blogging world and these are beautiful! I have for you from left to right:
Cracked Medallion, Latticed Lilac, Haute Metal, Jade-D, Oxidized Aqua.
Now I know that these aren't near as spectacular as the NPB polishes but I really wanted to give you guys some extra goodies!
Now for the little extras.
I absolutely love these polish remover sheets! Since I've started using the Elmer's glue base coat I use a lot less acetone and more of these babies! They have cuticle oil in them and leave your nails and fingers nice and smooth. I love how gentile they are compared to acetone! These I got from Amazon but I also use the e.l.f remover sheets too and I love them just as much!
These brushes while used for different things are both staples in my collection. My BFF recently gave me one of these double sided brushes for my birthday. The other brush I use to clean my mani's up, make them prim and proper! =)
Last but certainly not least, glass nail files! I only use glass files and I happen to come across these at Big Lots! they were such an amazing deal that I bought every single on they had! I have to say that I love these files even more than the ones I paid 3 times the amount for!
So that's the entire lot! I decided that instead of me dividing the prizes up I would leave that up to the 1st place winner!
The first place winner will pick 2 of the Nail Pattern Boldness Polishes, 2 of the China Glaze Polishes her choice of brush and scent of remover sheets and one of the nail file packs!
The second place winner will get the remaining Nail Pattern Boldness Polish, the remaining 3 China Glaze Polishes, the remaining brush and polish remover sheet pack and a nail file pack!
This guarantees that each winner will get 4 polishes, 1 pack of remover pads, 1 brush and 1 pack of glass files!
I hope that wasn't too confusing!
Unfortunately this giveaway is open to US and Canadian residents only at this time! Sorry to any international followers but I will try to have an international giveaway soon! I am not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged packages.
This giveaway will run for 3 weeks starting September, 27. 2012 ending October, 19. 2012 at 12:01am. The winners will be notified within 48 hours of close. If the winner(s) do not respond within 24 hours a new winner(s) will be randomly drawn. I will only be accepting entries through Rafflecopter. Also, and this should go without saying, NO CHEATING! I will be checking all of your entries and you will be disqualified if you are caught cheating! Lets not ruin the fun! =) All terms and Conditions are listed below.
Oh, and Don't forget to tell Allison from Nail Pattern Boldness a big Thank You for her contribution!
Good Luck Everyone!

Jelly Belly Nails
Hello ladies! Today I am doing a combined challenge post. It is the 9th day in the 31 Day challenge which call for "rainbow" nails and it is also the 10th and final day of the My Favorite Things Challenge, it calls for my favorite mani.
Today's mani was inspired by my favorite candy...Jelly Belly Jelly Beans!
Colors used:
Pinky
Wet n Wild Sunny Side Up
Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar
Ring
Sinful Colors Innocent
China Glaze In The Lime Light
Sinful Colors Last Chance
Middle
Sally Hansen Coral Reef
Sinful Colors Cross My Heart
Index
Orly Skinny Dip
Sinful Colors Lavender
Sinful Colors Let's Talk
Thumb
Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow
Milani Dark Coffee
Originally I wanted to do my spun sugar mani for this day but I decided that it had been a while since
I had done a Saran Wrap mani so I opted for that instead. I have only done the Saran Wrap technique once, that time I painted the second color over the first then took the SW to the nail. This time I decided I wanted to try the other way: putting the polish on the SW and dabbing it on top of the base color which would mimic the speckled pattern on the Jelly Beans.
Did I manage to capture the essence of the Jelly Belly?? LOL
I'm glad I chose to do this for my final Favorite Things mani, there are just so many things I love about this! I really enjoyed this challenge and I hope you all did too.
I will still be working on the 31 day challenge for a while still so make sure to check on the future mani's, the best is yet to come!
Don't forget to show off your teal mani's for Ovarian Cancer Awareness on my Facebook Fan Page for the whole month of September.
Also don't forget that once I get 100 Facebook likes, GFC followers or Twitter followers I will be hosting my first giveaway! And I have super special surprise news about that giveaway...so like and follow, 100 is just around the corner!!!
Check out the other mani's for both of these great challenges!

Good mornin y'all! My second post today is my Black & White mani! If you haven't seen my super early post this morning go check it out here. There is a little info on there for everyone! =)
I've been wanting to do this mani for a while now, I was planning on doing it for my Rainbow post but I have come up with a new concept for that.
What I have for you all today is Spun Sugar.
Colors used:
Pure Ice Super Star
Zoya Raven
China Glaze Fairy Dust
Nail Pattern Boldness Ninja vs Pirate
2 coats of both Super Star & Raven
1 coat of Fairy Dust
1 coat of Ninja vs Pirate on my middle finger.
Now the spun sugar part. =)
I really love this mani. It works well with pretty much any colors, any polishes. Plus it looks great without being hard to do. It just takes a little patience.
Well I hope you gals like it!

Favorite Things Day 8: Hearts/Love
This mani did NOT go as I had planned it. It was suppose to be love letters and hearts with kisses and such, but the stupid stamp plate was not cooperating. I am blaming the design because I got several others to work.
I started with 2coats of my brand new Zoya (yay!) Dove. I was so happy to get this because I needed a nice cream gray!
On my thumb and pinkie I applied a coat of China Glaze Full Spectrum, from the Prismatics collection. This one has a pink duochrome very pretty. Then for a bit of extra shimmer I applied a coat of Orly Be Brave. Now I wasn't sure how much I'd like this but after seeing it on my nails! WOW! I love how the glitter changes color...it's pink but flashes the entire rainbow in the light! Simply beautiful. this was part of the FX collection but also part of the Breast Cancer Awareness polishes they released as well.If you can find this get it!
My hearts (and lips) are:
Pure Ice Iced Merlot & Flirt Alert
L'Oreal Penthouse Pink
Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby
Finger Paints Black Expressionism
Only 2 days left in this challenge! I can't believe how fast it went!

My Favorite Things Challenge: Day 6-Stripes
Hello again ladies! I feel like all I've been doing this week is painting my nails. I mean I'm always painting my nails but I usually keep a mani on for at least 36 hours. This week has been 24 or less and I still haven't even gotten around to swatching all of the new polishes I've gotten recently! Maybe next week I'll have the chance.
On to the challenge...
For the stripes challenge I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Flying Dragon with a coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White underneath, since FD is a neon and neon's are really sheer. Yes, I know, I'm kind of stuck on neon's lately. Maybe it's my own little tribute to the end of summer.
I think I'm in love with this polish! It applied much better than I thought it would, the white base may not have been needed after all.
This is the revamped version of Flying Dragon. The first came out back in 2008 and was a darker purple. This version is a lighter more magenta color. It has a very subtle glitter in it, in pink and blue.
Next I taped off thick stripes with my trusty scotch tape
and painted on top with China Glaze Polarized.
Polarized is part of the China Glaze Prismatic collection, and is suppose to be a duochrome glitter. I myself see no color shift in this polish, but it doesn't change that I love it. It has full coverage in 2 coats and aside from the main glitter color of silver there are slightly larger glitters in yellow, orange, green and pink as well. I'm pretty pleased that I picked this baby up from Sally's clearance rack!
Well those are my stripes!

31 Day Challenge Day 4 "Green"
I'm having a busy week, between the challenges and family thing and now I've started walking with my cousin everyday. ( Gotta get this fat ass in shape! ) But the challenge must go on!
For my green I used China Glaze In The Lime Light
This is 4 coats, being a neon it is a very thin formula.
Then I drew on some leaves? flowers? I don't know what it is. LOL
I used Kiss nail art polishes in white and silver then dotted using black over silver.
Then I added black rhinestones.
I like how this turned out. This wasn't what I had originally planned to do for this part of the challenge. I was suppose to do a snake skin mani using the paper towel technique. Unfortunately that was a Major FAIL! I don't know how that technique can even work, it was quite difficult. Has anyone tried it? If so, do you have any pointers? I'd really like to make it work.
Don't forget to check out all the other talented ladies participating in this challenge!
