Welcome to another Ty It On Tuesday! I'm really enjoying these posts, simply because I am getting to try out the polishes I would have never gotten to otherwise. I have come across some real treasures in my collection and I'm so early into the year! Today's TIOT is no exception, I have found an amazing combo to show you all today, it kind of broke my heart to have to take it off!
I picked these up a while back when Ulta had a BOGO sale, I wasn't super thrilled about the color selection. It all seemed to be the same old colors, with the exception of a gem here and there these 2 are a couple of those gems. I didn't have any colors like these in my stash so I had to have them.
Bam-Blue-Zled: a periwinkle creme
All photos of Bam-Blue-Zled are shown as 2 coats no top coat.
As you can see in the close up pictures the formula was less than perfect. I'm sure had I used a top coat it would have leveled it out some and looked less brush strokey. The application aside, I am happy with the color! I LOVE the color, enough to make up for the less than perfect formula, especially since I would never wear it alone.
Indigo Go Girl: small and micro indigo hexes in a clear base.
All photos of Indigo Go Girl are shown as 2 coats no top coat.
Indigo Go Girl has a much better formula. No issues with this one at all. The glitters came out perfectly and they lay so flat against the nail that I didn't bother with a top coat to smooth it out. I love this color and I think it's pretty periwinkle vs indigo, it appears much darker in the bottle than on the nail. It is a shade or so darker than Bam-Blue-Zled but they are super close. Just for fun I made it matte...this is when I fell in LOVE!!!
It looks like blue sugar! I wanted to wear this forever! What can I say? I'm a sucker for blue!
Have you tried any Ulta polishes? Are the formulas all consistent with Bam-Blue-Zled?
Make sure to come back tomorrow for the letter D in the ABC Challenge!

I find Ulta polishes to be poorly pigmented and terribly streaky, but of course I never learn and end up buying some any way! They also chip very easily even with a good base coat and top coat, which is probably why they are lower priced. There glitters are generally great though! I'm with you, I love Bam-Blue-Zled despite the consistency issues, and it looks great with Indigo Go Girl, especially mattified!! Lovely combo!!
ReplyDeletewow this is gorgeous! I love the combination.
