Welcome back to another day of the ABC Challenge! Today I had a few things in mind. I attempted a couple and they were either fails or just bleh! So I went to plain old easy route and picked one of my untrieds!
Where's My Chauffeur?...
...a beautiful turquoise part of Essie's Winter Trend collection.
All photos of Where's My Chauffeur? are shown as 3 coats no top coat.
While I adore the color, the formula leaves a lot to be desired. It took 3 coats for it to give coverage because of dragging and balding. It never really leveled out either. After about 30 minutes it's still tacky. I know I didn't use a top coat but 30 minutes is a bit long for me. I'm also noticing that it bubbled as well. *Sad face* Oh well. I still love the color and I'm sure it'll look great as undies for some funky glitters! That being said make sure to come back later...I plan on having another post up shortly, using Where's My Chauffeur under a very exclusive Nail Patter Boldness polish!
As always check out the other polished pretties participating in this challenge!

Love this shade!! It's such a shame about the formula though :( Looking forward to what you top this with!!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! I love the shape of your nails, and this bright blue looks awesome on your skintone! Beautiful pictures too!!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with these soft blue/turquoise colors this year! So so pretty! Too bad about the formula. Love your nails!
ReplyDeleteOh, Gini....big bummer re: bubbled, dragging polish! Can't stand when that happens. Inconsistent formula is the reason why I buy Essie only rarely nowadays. The brand lost its luster once I began using polishes that didn't fight with me.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, this is a FABULOUS color. It's sooooo Spring-y.
Looking forward to seeing it with the NPB.

That is a gorgeous color...I'm waiting to see what else you are going to do with it!
ReplyDeleteEssie has great colors, but I always have problems with their formula. It always makes me so mad because I think it's kinda expensive for a drugstore brand that doesn't even apply that well. But, this color is gorgeous! lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame..I love this shade but the formula is not so nice I see :( Thanks for sharing and saving me some money!
ReplyDeleteToo bad the formula is so problematic, it's a gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, but it sucks to hear the formula's bad! Stick with For Audrey -- it's so close in color and I love the formula!
ReplyDeleteDammit! I really want this one, but I hate it when Essie's have crappy formulas. Thank god for awesome glitters, right?
ReplyDeleteAh what a bummer that the formula is so bad! Weird coming from Essie, but it happens! The color is amazing, and I am glad they dared to add such a color in the winter collection :)
ReplyDeleteThis shade is absolutely gorgeous! Sorry to read about bad formula. :(
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty color, shame about the formula :/ Now I'll go check out if the glitter made it even prettier ;D
ReplyDeleteNo news about the bad formula here :( I loved this colour but I really have enough thick polishes that are a mess to apply!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour :) shame about the formula
ReplyDeletethis color is really pretty, it looks good on your skin tone :)
ReplyDeleteThis color is extremely pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteI adore this color.
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies so much for all the love! It really is a crying shame that Essie has such inconsistent formulas, it always seems to be on the ones I NEED the most too! Bikini So Teeny was one of those I had to have and the formula is the same. They have an issue with the creme polishes I think. I agree that for a drug store brand that has formula issues it is way over priced! I need to train my hubby to stop buying the Essie's as much, he buys them since I refuse to pay that much for a drugstore polish! I would rather get 1 Deborah Lippmann, Illamasqua or even a Lynn...all brands I have yet to try...than keep buying 2 or 3 crappy drugstore polishes.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS COLOR!! I have to get it - why do I keep not I might be the only one that hasn't had any issues with Essie - yet. Mind you I don't have a whole lot, so my view may be skewed! Hubby needs to start shopping online - you should sneakily leave those pages open on the computer so he'll see!!
